There are two types of damages
known as General Damages and Special Damages.
General Damages are awarded
to compensate you for your pain and suffering and
non financial losses arising from the injury. General
Damages are assessed by comparing the awards made
by Judges in similar circumstances with similar
injuries but every case is looked at individually
to ensure that the maximum award is obtained.
Special Damages are the sums
which can be quantified specifically such as loss
of earnings however documentary evidence of all
losses will be required so receipts etc must be
retained.
